在超越教育升學輔導顧問 John 的鼓勵下，我不斷地反覆嘗試與探索，慢慢釐清自己的優勢、特質與興趣，也逐漸發現自己對成為一位《古典樂評家》充滿嚮往。從高中開始，我就開始體驗這個職業的核心精神，在 John 的引導下，我成立了個人樂評網站，磨練寫作與評論的能力。他也幫助我爭取到美國當地報館刊登新聞的機會，這些寶貴的經歷成為我申請資料中非常突出的亮點，讓我順利獲得多所頂尖大學如 Denison University、Hamilton College 和 Northwestern University 的青睞，並成功取得獎學金。
從高中開始，John 就鼓勵我創造與他人不同的活動經歷，帶領我透過校外實作與善用新媒體資源，展現出自己與眾不同的優勢，豐富了我的學習歷程。
我開始學會拿掉那些只與成績有關的標籤，學會忠於自己的興趣，在自我實現與學業之間找到平衡。在父母的支持下，我願意敞開心胸，一步步地探索自己，勇敢地體驗我真正嚮往的生活，也不放棄那份對音樂評論的熱愛。
當我開始理解學業與高中生活的意義後，我對學習產生了更深的熱情與動機，也因此選擇了最適合我性格與特質的美國大學。現在的我，正在享受充滿探險精神的美國大學生活，而這一切的開始，都來自 John 給我的那句話：
「你選的學校，應該是要幫助你成為最優秀的自己。」
這句話不斷鼓勵我跳脫成績的標籤，勇敢選擇一個能真正保護我價值、發揮我潛力的學習環境。在這個過程中，我成為一個更有韌性、更有目標、也更有學習動機的大學生。
With the encouragement of John, my college admissions counselor at Beyond Education, I continuously experimented and explored, gradually clarifying my strengths, personality traits, and interests. Along the way, I discovered my deep passion for becoming a classical music critic. Starting in high school, I began to experience the core spirit of this profession. Under John's guidance, I launched my own music review website to hone my writing and critique skills. He also helped me secure opportunities to publish articles in local U.S. newspapers. These valuable experiences became major highlights in my college application, helping me gain admission to several top universities such as Denison University, Hamilton College, and Northwestern University, along with scholarship offers.
Since high school, John encouraged me to create experiences that set me apart from others. He guided me through real-world activities outside of school and taught me to leverage new media resources, allowing me to showcase my unique strengths and enrich my academic journey.
I learned to remove labels tied solely to grades and began to stay true to my own interests, finding a balance between self-fulfillment and academic achievement. With my parents’ support, I opened my heart to exploring who I am, courageously pursuing the life I truly aspired to—and never gave up my love for music criticism.
As I came to understand the deeper meaning of academics and high school life, I developed a stronger passion and motivation for learning. That insight led me to choose a U.S. university that aligned with my personality and strengths. Now, I’m enjoying a college life full of exploration and discovery. And all of this began with something John once told me:
“The school you choose should help you become the best version of yourself.”
That message continues to encourage me to move beyond being defined by grades and to boldly choose a learning environment that truly supports my values and helps me realize my full potential. Through this journey, I’ve become a more resilient, focused, and motivated college student.
