「創辦人John是孩子學涯規劃的陪跑mentor，他帶著我兒子梳理需求、認識自己、在學業與興趣間追求平衡，能更有勇氣與智慧的跳出被社會定義價值的框架，以孩子為主體，這正是我們與我的兒子需要的。」Justin的媽媽說到。放棄在國內名校升學，是一個需要勇氣和決心的選擇。 Justin原就讀於台北市立建國高級中學二年級，為了實現成為運動員的夢想，決定踏上這條挑戰之路。

接觸超越教育John的契機：

在高一的暑假，Justin想要出國體驗不同的學習環境又不想參加一般遊學團，剛好英文家教老師的妹妹參加過超越教育的領袖品格營，覺得學習體驗很優質，不僅課程多元化也會培養孩子的反思力、洞察力等等品格特質，在介紹之下認識了超越教育創辦人John。而後Justin參加超越教育的【美國領袖品格營】，營隊結束後父母發現Justin對自己的信心大增，更加獨立也更尊重父母長輩，這是在其他營隊或活動中從來沒體驗過的成長，也開啟了日後升學顧問陪跑計畫的緣分～

Justin的父母有著超越社會既定框架的勇氣，他們認為孩子最需要的是引導和激勵，而不是強迫和制約。一般的留學代辦以「分數」和「名校」為優先考量，但他們最希望的是Justin能夠找到適合自己的環境，深入體會美國教育的精髓，不要追求分數中迷失自我價值。

Justin大學申請到了位於美國華盛頓的學校，在校際棒球隊中擔任關鍵位置。重要的是，他找到了適合自己的地方，可以在這裡繼續追求成為運動員的夢想，他也承擔起自己選擇棒球的責任。John一路以來的引導和支持，不僅分析了未來可能接近的路徑，例如球隊經紀人、球隊行銷、球評等，讓Justin看到追夢的無限可能。

Giving up a place at one of Taiwan’s top high schools was a decision that took real courage and determination. Justin was originally a sophomore at Taipei Municipal Jianguo High School, but in pursuit of his dream to become an athlete, he made the bold choice to take a different path.

How Justin connected with Beyond Education:

During the summer after 10th grade, Justin wanted to experience learning abroad — but not through a typical study tour. As it turned out, his English tutor’s sister had attended a Camp Beyond Character Camp, and she had high praise for its quality. She mentioned how it focused not just on academics but also on character-building traits like self-reflection and insight. Through that introduction, Justin met Camp Beyond’s founder, John.

Later that summer, Justin attended the Camp Beyond U.S. Camp, and after returning home, his parents immediately noticed his transformation: greater self-confidence, independence, and deeper respect for others — a kind of growth they had never seen through any other camp. That’s when they decided to embark on a longer journey with Camp Beyond’s mentorship and academic planning support.

Justin’s parents were brave enough to challenge societal norms. They didn’t believe in pushing or pressuring — they believed in guiding and encouraging.
